Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky Introduces U.S. Exclusive

Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky reveals its first single estate whisky – a deliciously deep and creamy dram. Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estate was created at the distillery’s home Glenmorangie The Cadboll Estatefrom grain to glass, distilled entirely from barely grown on the estate and overseen by its acclaimed whisky creator every step of the way. Aged for 15 years, the bourbon cask single malt will be shared exclusively with whisky lovers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

The Glenmorangie Cadboll Estate is nestled in the Scottish Highlands, close to the Glenmorangie distillery. Years ago, Glenmorangie’s Director of Distilling, Whisky Creation & Whisky Stocks, Dr. Bill Lumsden, was inspired by its barley fields to capture the essence of Glenmorangie’s homeland in a grain-to-glass single malt. First, he chose barley to be planted on the estate land surrounding the distillery. When it was harvested, he chose exactly how the grain would be dried and malted. In 2004, in Glenmorangie’s signature copper stills – the tallest in Scotland – Dr. Bill used that bespoke malt to distill a uniquely creamy spirit.

Finally, just moments from the fields where it all began, Dr. Bill transferred his vintage spirit batch into a handful of American white oak bourbon casks to age. He had personally selected only first-fill casks to impart classic vanilla notes and sweet flavors to the whisky. Matured in earth-floored warehouses at the distillery for all of its 15 years, Glenmorangie’s The Cadboll Estate whisky delivers a delicious oaky depth and rounded smoothness, magnifying Glenmorangie’s signature soft, fruity style.
