Recipes from Korean Restaurant Yoon

Midtown’s authentic Korean food/BBQ Yoon Haeundae Galbi is inspired by Owner Bobby Yoon’s grandfather’s restaurant, Haeundae Somunnan Amso Galbijib, which opened in 1964 in Busan, South Korean. Yoon presents a contemporary take on traditional recipes. Check out two examples, below!

Matcha Wanna DrinkMatcha Wanna Drink Yoon cocktail

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Bulleit Rye
.5 oz Peach schnapps
.5 oz Lemon juice
.5 oz Simple syrup
Pinch of green tea powder
Ginger ale

Directions:
Shake all ingredients except ginger ale. Strain into a tea cup glass. Top off with ginger ale. Garnish with a lemon wheel and two thyme sprigs.

 

 

Yoon HighballYoon Highball

Ingredients:
Muddled cucumber and perilla leaf
1.5 oz Damsol soju
.5 oz St Germain
.5 oz Simple syrup
.5 oz Lemon juice
Club soda
Cucumber slice and perilla leaf

Directions:
Muddle cucumber and perilla leaf in bottom of shaker. Add all ingredients except soda and shake. Strain into a highball glass. Top off with club soda. Garnish with a cucumber slice and perilla leaf.
