National Rum Day is Sunday, August 16th, and we’ve collected a group of rum-based recipes to help you celebrate. We’ve even got recommendations for some fun activities to do at the end of the round-up!
Pineapple Sour
Ingredients:
2 oz Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum
1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
3/4 oz Sugar Syrup
Directions:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain in a rocks glass filled with ice.

Bahama Queen
Ingredients:
1 oz The Real McCoy 5yr aged rum
1 oz Organic Mixology Coconut Lychee Liqueur
2 oz Pineapple
1/2 oz Lime
1/2 oz OM Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Liqueur
Directions:
Combine the Rum, Organic Mixology Coconut Lychee Liqueur, Pineapple and lime in a shaker with ice and shake until chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into a collins glass over ice. Gently pout the remaining Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Liqueur over a spoon to float on top of the drink.

Mount Gay Rum Punch
Ingredients:
2 oz Mount Gay Rum
½ oz Apricot Brandy
3oz Pineapple Juice
2oz Orange Juice
Dash of Grenadine
Directions:
Combine ingredients, shake, pour over ice, serve with a Pineapple and Cherry Garnish

Hurricane
Ingredients:
2 2/3 oz Tiki Lovers-Dark Rum
1 1/3 oz fresh Lemon Juice
1 oz Passionfruit Syrup
Directions:
Shake with crushed and regular ice, pour into tall glass over crushed ice and garnish to taste.

Haitian Rum Sour
Ingredients:
4 shots of Rhum Barbancourt 4 years old (3 Star)
1/4 of a shot of lime juice,
Refined sugar (to your measure)
3 drops of bitters
Directions:
Serve it in a rocks glass with a sugar rim.

Rum Boulevard
Ingredients:
1 Part Flor de Caña 12
¾ Parts Campari
¾ Part Sweet Vermouth
Directions:
Combine ingredients and stir well. Strain over a large block of ice in a rocks glass. Spritz and garnish with a large orange peel.

Basileus Punch
Ingredients:
1 cup Tiki Lovers White Rum
1 cup Tiki Lovers Pineapple Rum
2 cups Coconut Liqueur
2 cups Fresh Lemon Juice
2 cups Pineapple Juice
4 cups Basil Syrup
Basil Syrup:
3 cups Water
1.5 cups Sugar
1/3 cups fresh basil leaves
Juice and peel of one lemon
Directions:
Dissolve sugar in boiling water, take it off the stove, add lemon juice, lemon peel and basil. Let steep and strain when cool.

Pineapple Mojito
Ingredients:
1.5 Parts Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
½ Part lime juice
4 Cubes sugar
4 Pieces pineapple
10 Mint leaves
Directions:
Muddle pineapple, mint and sugar in the bottom of a shaker. Add ice, lime, Sailor Jerry and shake well. Pour into glass and top with ice, lime, and mint.

Gloria Estefan’s Signature Mojito
Ingredients:
2 oz Bacardi
1.5 oz Simple Syrup
Fresh lime
fresh mint
Soda Water
Sugar Cane
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except soda water in a shaker with ice. Strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Top with soda water and garnish with mint.

Squid Ink Piña Colada
Ingredients:
1 part Kraken Black Spiced rum
Ice Cubes
1 part coconut cream
½ part coconut milk
½ part pineapple chunks
Directions:
Add Kraken, coconut cream, coconut milk, pineapple chunks and ice cubes in a blender on high until smooth. Pour into glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge.
