Ramona Introduces Dry Sparkling Rosé

ramona dry aged roseJordan Salcito, sommelier and Founder and CEO of Drink RAMONA, Inc., is thrilled to announce the nationwide launch of RAMONA Rosé. The dry and effervescent rosé is sparkling, organic and packaged in a convenient, recyclable, 250ml aluminum slim can.

Inspired by beverage culture of northern Italy, Salcito created RAMONA in 2016 as an alter ego to her fine wine and high-end restaurant career overseeing programs at Momofuku and working at the number one restaurant in the world; Eleven Madison Park. Salcito is a two-time semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Beer, Wine, or Spirits Professional, her lists have been awarded Most Creative in the World. She noticed a void in the market for high quality, portable, wine-based beverages that consumers
could drink in traditional “beer moments.” She found herself having to choose either convenience or quality and sought out to create a canned wine beverage portfolio that delivers on both.

Named after Salcito’s sister’s mischievous childhood alter ego (she was a Beverly Cleary fan) RAMONA was born from her thirst for a portable, high integrity spritz. After delivering the high quality standards that people wanted in their spritzes, RAMONA fans requested
a rosé. Salcito was again driven by a desire to fulfill a marketplace void and realized while canned rosé is plentiful, organic, sparkling rosé that is all natural and made with minimal intervention was not. She also sought out to debunk the myth that rosé is a seasonal beverage and consequently, crafted RAMONA Rosé as an 12% ABV beverage, perfect for versatile pairings and year-round sipping.

“From the moment RAMONA launched, we received widespread requests from our community to introduce a rosé to the portfolio. We knew it would only work if we could deliver a rosé that adheres to our brand’s standards — organic, sustainable and above all, delicious,” said Jordan Salcito. “RAMONA Rosé, made with organic grapes grown in Abruzzo, hits all of those notes for us. It’s a rosé for all seasons and truly embodies wine without rules.”

A portion of all RAMONA Rosé proceeds will be donated to The Catalyst Foundation for Universal Education, which increases the educational opportunities for marginalized youth around the world. RAMONA shares this mission and believes everyone should have the opportunity to write their own rules.

The dry and effervescent rosé boasts a sparkling pale pink hue and features notes of tart cherries and fresh hibiscus flowers compliment the cherry blossom, garden rose and limestone aromas. RAMONA Rosé retails for $20/4-pack and is available nationwide via
Parcelle.
