National Whiskey Sour Day is Thursday, August 25th. In honor of this staple cocktail recipe, we’ve compiled a list of whiskey sour recipes to help your bar celebrate.
Spring Mountain Sour
Ingredients:
2 oz. Charbay R5 Aged Whiskey
Green Chartreuse
1/2 oz. Marie Brizard Creme Cacao
3/4 oz. The Perfect Purée Chipotle Sour blend, thawed
1/2 oz. egg white
3 drops Peychaud’s
Directions:
Start by rinsing a large coupe glass with green chartreuse. Put the whiskey, creme cacao, chipotle sour, and egg white into a cocktail shaker and dry shake well without ice. This step is important for introducing enough air into egg white cocktails. Add ice to the shaker, and shake again. Strain into your rinsed glass and garnish with three drops of Peychaud’s.
