National Tequila Day is Saturday, July 24, and we’ve rounded up some tequila cocktail recipes to celebrate the distilled spirit made from the blue agave plant.

Sandia
Ingredients:
2 oz of Casamigos Blanco
0.75 oz of Fresh Lime Juice
0.75 oz of Jalapeno Agave
5 oz of Watermelon Jarritos
A pinch Spiced Salt for the rim (Tajin works great)
1 Watermelon wedge for garnish
A pinch of black salt for the watermelon wedge
Directions:
In a shaker tin combine Casamigos Blanco, Fresh Lime Juice, Jalapeño agave. Add ice. Shake roughly 20 seconds to fully combine ingredients. Using a lime wedge, wet rim of glass (preferably only the outside edge) dip into spiced salt. Strain shaken ingredients over fresh ice in rimmed glass. Add watermelon jarritos soda. (When inserting straw, a quick stir goes a long way). Garnish with watermelon wedge Sprinkle black salt over watermelon wedge for bonus points!

Pomegranate Ginger Bubbly
Ingredients:
1/2 can Spicy Ginger Volley
½ oz. triple sec
Juice of ½ lime
Splash of pomegranate juice
orange and/or lime wheel
pomegranate seeds
Directions:
Combine 1/2 can Spicy Ginger Volley, ½ oz. triple sec, Juice of ½ lime into a cocktail shaker and shake thoroughly. Once shaken, pour into glass and add a splash of pomegranate juice. Top with orange and/or lime wheel and pomegranate seeds.

Total Fairy
Ingredients:
1.25 oz LALO Blanco Tequila
.75 oz Gamle Ode ‘Celebration’ Aquavit
.5 oz Campari
.75 oz Twisted Alchemy 100% Watermelon Juice
.75 oz Twisted Alchemy 100% Eureka Lemon Juice
.5 oz sansho peppercorn and marjoram syrup
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and ice in a shaker tin. Shake vigorously and double-strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with folded lemon wheels.

The Dano-Rita (Dano’s Tequila Spicy Margarita)
Ingredients:
2 oz Dano’s Pineapple & Jalapeno Tequila
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz Lime Juice
Directions:
Shake all ingredients and pour over ice into a highball or rocks glass. Garnish rim of glass with Tajin sugar/salt mix.

Cutwater Spirits Tequila Grill & Chill
Ingredients:
2 oz Cutwater Tequila Blanco
1 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz agave syrup
3-4 grilled pineapple chunks
1 fresh ginger slice
1 pinch of cilantro
Directions:
Grill pineapple, ginger, and cilantro in a cocktail shaker. Add tequila, lime juice, agave, and ice. Shake until cold. Strain over fresh ice. Garnish with a piece of grilled pineapple and a cilantro sprig.

Tanteo Tequila Grapefruit Hibiscus Marg
Ingredients:
2 oz. Tanteo Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Hibiscus Tea
1 oz Fresh lime Juice
1 oz Fresh Grapefruit Juice
3⁄4 oz. Agave Nectar
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously. Double strain into a rocks glass. Garnish with a dried orange wheel.

Los Arango Blanco de Blanc
Ingredients:
1 1⁄2 oz. Los Arango Blanco Tequila
1⁄4 oz. Blanc Vermouth
1 oz. Chareau Aloe Vera Liquor
2 Dashes Celery Bitters
1⁄2 oz. Lemon Oil
Sub Lemon Juice
Top with 4 Drops Celery Oil
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except for the celery oil into a cocktail shaker, shake vigorously. Fill a rocks glass with ice and Hawthorne strain the cocktail over rocks in the glass. Top off the cocktail with a few drops of celery oil and an aloe vera leaf. Garnish with an aloe vera leaf.

Corralejo Spanish Peach Margarita
Ingredients:
2 oz. Corralejo Silver
1⁄2 oz. Peach Schnapps
3⁄4 oz. Agave Nectar
1 oz. Lemon Juice
5 Mint Leaves
Directions:
Tear mint leaves into fourths and add to a shaker. Add tequila, peach schnapps, agave nectar and lemon juice to the shaker. Shake vigorously. Strain over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with a mint leaf.

Flecha Azul Watermelon Flecharita
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz Flecha Azul Blanco
1 oz Agave Syrup
½ oz Lime Juice
4 oz Watermelon Cubes (Remove Seeds)
Chamoy and Tajin Rim
Watermelon Garnish
Directions:
Combine Flecha Azul Blanco, agave syrup, lime juice, and watermelon cubs in a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into a Chamoy and Tajin-rimmed rocks glass over one large ice cube. Garnish with a watermelon slice.

Espress Yourself
Ingredients:
2oz Cristalino
0.5oz Montenegro
0.5oz Vanilla Syrup
1.5oz Fresh Espresso
1 Dash Angostura Bitters
Orange Peel
Directions:
Combine and shake all ingredients (yes, shake the orange peel too). Double strain into your favorite martini glass. Garnish with three espresso beans.

El Pavo Real
Ingredients:
1oz Espolòn Blanco Tequila
1oz Vida Mezcal,
.5oz pomegranate hibiscus syrup
.5oz Tempus Fugit Violettes
.5oz fresh squeezed lime juice
Pomegranate Hibiscus Syrup:
1814 g Granulated Sugar
1814 ml Pom juice
45 g dried Hibiscus
150ml St Elizabeth’s Dram
Dissolve Sugar into POM juice. Add hibiscus flower, let sit at room temperature for 1 hour. Strain off flowers. Refrigerate for up to 30 days
Directions:
Shake and strain over ice, garnish with edible flowers or lime wheel.

Noble Paloma
Ingredients:
2 oz Casa Noble Blanco
1 oz Lime Juice
1 oz grapefruit juice
.5 oz Agave Nectar
Sparkling Water
Garnish: Grapefruit wedge
Directions:
Place Casa Noble Blanco, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and agave néctar into a shaker with Ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into glass over ice, add salt, tap with sparkling wáter, and swirl. Garnish with grapefruit wedge.

1800 Coconut Cream
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz. 1800 Reposado
3 oz. Jarritos MXCN Cola
2 oz. cold brew coffee
½ oz. sweetened coconut cream
Directions:
Build all ingredients in a tumbler with ice, stirring gently to incorporate. Garnish with coffee beans and coconut.

Five O’Clock Fizz
Ingredients:
1 ½ oz Blanco Tequila
¾ oz Campari
¾ oz Lime Juice
5 oz Q Hibiscus Ginger Beer
Directions:
Shake all ingredients except the ginger beer & strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with Q Hibiscus Ginger Beer and garnish with an orange peel.

Pica Piña Margarita
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Fresh Victor Pineapple & Ginger Root
1 1/2 oz. Fresh Victor Jalapeño & Lime
1 1/2 – 2 oz. blanco or reposado tequila
Garnish: pineapple wedge, lime wheel and/or jalapeño wheels
Directions:
In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients, fill the shaker with ice, shake well (to chill and dilute) and strain over ice in a 10-12 oz. glass. Add garnish and serve.

Mayan Mule
Ingredients:
2 Parts Milagro Reposado
½ Part Fresh Lime Juice
2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
3 Parts Ginger Beer
Lime Wheel
Mint Sprig
Directions:
Place 2-3 ice cubes in a Collins glass. Add fresh squeezed lime juice, Milagro Reposado, ginger beer and bitters. Garnish with mint sprig and a lime wheel.
