Don Ciccio & Figli Francesco Amodeo Launches Limited Edition Liqueurs Line Eklectika

Don Ciccio & Figli president Francesco Amodeo announces Eklectika, a new collection of limited edition liqueurs. Tutti Frutti, the first liqueur in this new line, is now available just in time for Pride Month. This original spirit is shaded a vibrant purple and made iridescent with the inclusion of edible glitter, and partial proceeds from its sale will go to benefit local and national LGBTQ+ organizations. Differentiating it from the main Don Ciccio & Figli portfolio, future editions in the Eklectika line will all be either original creations, like Tutti Frutti, or liqueurs from traditions outside of Italy. Just like the Don Ciccio & Figli collection, Eklectika will explore a wide spectrum of flavors, with the same craftsmanship, care, and reverence going into the new product line that goes into the company’s original family recipes.

“Eklectika celebrates the notion that all are welcome, from flavor profiles and ingredients to ideas and people,” Amodeo said. “That’s why we are launching the whole line with Tutti Frutti, and why we are launching it during Pride. Eklectika represents an array of ideas
and flavors that, while all different, find harmony together.”

While Tutti Frutti gets its distinct violet hue from the inclusion of purple carrot juice, it gets its bold flavor from a dizzying blend of fruit fruit macerations, including strawberry, peach, banana, apricot, blueberry, mint and grapefruit, as well as spices and botanicals like juniper, bitter orange, and cinnamon. The bright and refreshing 30-proof aperitif will be best enjoyed in a spritz, with the prosecco causing the edible glitter to dance about the glass. The first run of the shimmering liqueur will be about 2,000 bottles strong, and available in the D.C. market, as well as Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, and Tennessee. The aperitivo may be ordered online and shipped nationally and is available for in-person purchase at the Don Ciccio & Figli distillery (1907 Fairview Ave. NE, Washington, D.C.) on Saturdays from 1-8pm. Sales
of Tutti Frutti will benefit the LGBTQ+ community, with 20% of proceeds going to SMYAL, the Human Rights Campaign, the Trevor Project, and other programs.
