Broker’s Gin, an award-winning, premium small batch London Dry gin, is launching the second annual Broker’s Bowler Cup, a national mixology competition presented by The Tasting Panel Magazine. Mixologists can enter to win a trip to Tales of the Cocktail, the world’s premier cocktail event in New Orleans. Four winners will be selected and their cocktails will be served in the Broker’s Gin Tasting Room at Tales of the Cocktail in July, and a final winner will be chosen via crowd voting.
WHO: The contest is open to mixologists who reside in the United States and are of legal drinking age. Applications must include the mixologist’s bio, cocktail recipe and name, and a photo of the mixologist with the cocktail. All participants must agree to the official rules and restrictions to qualify.
WHEN: Mixologists are encouraged to submit their applications via Facebook (Facebook.com/BrokersGinUSA), Instagram (@BrokersGin) or Email ([email protected]). Submissions will be accepted between April 1st and May 22nd. Consumer voting will take place between May 23rd and June 5th.
HOW: The Broker’s Bowler Cup winners will be determined by a combination of online voting by consumers and judging of the finalists’ cocktails by The Tasting Panel Magazine’s advisory panel. Twelve mixologists – the top three per region – determined by the highest number of consumer votes – will have their cocktails replicated at a live tasting event in Los Angeles on June 16th. The cocktails will be judged based on taste, originality, visual presentation and a creative name. The panel of experts will select one mixologist per region – West, Central, East and South – who will win an all-expense paid trip to Tales of the Cocktail to compete for a chance to be selected as the final Broker’s Bowler Cup winner.
