William Grant & Sons Announces Sebastien Derbomez as Hendrick’s Gin National Ambassador for the U.S.

William Grant & Sons is pleased to announce the appointment of Sebastien Derbomez to Sebastien Derbomezthe role of U.S. National Ambassador for Hendrick’s Gin. In this post, Sebastien (also known as Seb), is responsible for bringing the unusual and curious Hendrick’s Gin brand world to life while engaging directly with consumers, media, and the trade. As National Ambassador, Seb will also be overseeing Hendrick’s Gin’s eclectic group of four additional Ambassadors ensuring the brands unique message is effectively translated to both consumers and the trade.

Hailing from the South of France, Seb started his career in the beverage industry 14 years ago in London at the prestigious Nobu restaurant and then in many “members only” clubs. In 2007, he took his talents and cocktail shakers to Brisbane & Sydney, Australia and during his time there, won several awards for outstanding cocktails, service, and leadership including two Australian Bar Awards and a Queensland Lifestyle Award.

Seb’s journey with William Grant & Sons began in 2012 where he successfully represented the company’s whisky brands for one year. The following year, he was appointed the Hendrick’s Gin Ambassador covering Australia and then continued his ambassadorship in the U.S. Most recently, Seb was the U.S. Ambassador for Monkey Shoulder, the blended malt Scotch whisky owned by William Grant & Sons. After a fruitful year with Monkey Shoulder, Seb is happy to be back where his journey began: with Hendrick’s Gin.

“I am honored to rejoin the Hendrick’s team and take on a new role as Hendrick’s Gin National Brand Ambassador,” says Derbomez. “I look forward to working with the incredible group of Ambassadors as we share the unusual and curious Hendrick’s Gin with even more people.”

Alongside his responsibilities as the National Hendrick’s Gin Ambassador for the U.S., Seb is passionate about traveling the world to discover new cultures and has always been fascinated by tribal culture and rituals – he has even spent time with aboriginals in Australia and the natives of Tanna Island. Seb is constantly on the hunt for the most unusual locations to enjoy cocktails; even atop Mount Yasur, an active volcano.
