Tales of the Cocktail Foundation is pleased to announce that tickets for the 17th annual Tales of the Cocktail, taking place from July 16-21 in New Orleans, are now released to the public.
Founded in 2002, Tales of the Cocktail has grown from a small gathering of cocktail lovers into the world’s premier cocktail festival hosted in the historic city of New Orleans. This year’s Tales of the Cocktail theme is “Cultivate” which reflects the Foundation’s goal to actively engage partners and participants through thought leadership and foster meaningful connections within the hospitality industry. With this theme The Foundation will strive to elevate the craft, create opportunities for growth and reinforce a commitment to continued learning.
This year’s Tales of the Cocktail will feature over 75 compelling, original seminars that have been carefully curated to best demonstrate the Foundation’s commitment to education, advancement, and support for the larger beverage community. These seminar topics address virtually every aspect of the cocktail and spirits industries, and are presented by some of the industries’ most highly regarded professionals and can be viewed in full here.
For the first time ever, the seminar lineup was selected through a rigorous process by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s newly formed Education Committees, sub-divided into three streams of education: Business, Culture and Beyond the Bar. These newly formed committees worked diligently and collaboratively to curate seminars which address the interests, needs and goals of bartenders through these three lenses.
“From its inception, Tales of the Cocktail has prioritized education,” said Gary Solomon Jr., Co-Chair of Tales of the Cocktail Foundation’s Board of Directors. “With dedicated Education Committees and a new approach to providing education across three streams we’re doubling down on our commitment to support the bar community holistically.”
Beyond the Bar activations will also be returning to Tales this year. Created in 2018, Beyond the Bar is designed to facilitate dialogue and inspire thinking around pressing topics facing the hospitality and spirits industry from social justice to lifestyle, health, addiction, and sustainability. Beyond the Bar return to the New Orleans Athletic Club and will be open to all attendees and will be open to the New Orleans spirits and hospitality community. A full schedule of initiatives will be released closer to the festival.
“We are so honored to have had these talented committees involved in such a hands on way for all of our seminars and programming this year,” shared Executive Director of Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, Caroline Rosen. “It was very important to us that the programming was relevant to the community, diverse, and thoughtful. Their impact on this year’s programming is evident.”
