October 15, 2013 marked the debut of Pearl Jam’s highly anticipated tenth studio album, Lightning Bolt, on TouchTunes. Released via Monkeywrench Records/Republic Records and produced by Brendan O’Brien, Lightning Bolt is Pearl Jam’s first studio album since their acclaimed record Backspacer, which was released in September of 2009. Since the band’s 1991 inception, Pearl Jam has sold over 60 million albums worldwide over a span of nine studio albums, five live albums and one greatest hits record. In 2011, the band celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special concert at Alpine Valley, WI and a film release, Pearl Jam Twenty, directed by the legendary Cameron Crowe. Timed with the release of Lightning Bolt, Pearl Jam will embark on a two-leg, 24-date North American tour kicking off in Pittsburgh on October 11th and ending in the band’s hometown of Seattle on December 6th.
