NRA Show Announces the 2018 SuperSession: The Future of Restaurants

future of restaurants SuperSessionThe National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show announces this year’s SuperSession theme, “The Future of Restaurants,” featuring global futurist and innovation expert Daniel Burrus alongside John Miller, CEO of CaliBurger and Cali Group and John Ha, CEO of Bear Robotics.

This year’s SuperSession will cover the future of the industry – both from technological and non-tech perspectives. Following a short talk from Burrus in which he will preview his predictions for the restaurant business, the group will engage in a discussion prompted by important future considerations such as facial recognition, robotics, and moving forward in creating tech-focused and non-tech solutions.

An international expert on global trends and innovation, Burrus was the first futurist in the early 1980s to accurately identify the 20 technologies that would become the driving force of business and economic change into the 21st century. His company, Burrus Research, monitors global advancements in technology-driven trends to help clients profit from technological, social, and business forces that are converging to create enormous, untapped opportunities.

Additional experts in the SuperSession include John Miller and John Ha. Miller is the CEO of Cali Group, a holding company focused on using new technologies to transform the restaurant and retail industries. Cali Group owns global QSR chain, CaliBurger, and invests in five affiliated technology companies. While Ha has been working with Bear Robotics, he has managed the development of an AI-driven robot, Penny. Penny is capable of performing running and bussing tasks in a restaurant in order to improve the environment for customers, employees, and owners.

“SuperSession: The Future of Restaurants” will take place on Monday, May 21st at 11 a.m. SuperSession is open to all registered Show attendees, exhibitors, and media, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
