According to Drink Business Review, Bacardi has appointed Jon Grey as the regional president of the newly created Middle East and Africa region. He is responsible for all operations for Bacardi’s portfolio of premium spirits in the region.
He will continue his role as senior vice president of global operations responsible for all global supply chain, brand product production procurement, and research and development activities. He will also head the company’s corporate responsibility platform and global initiatives.
During the last five years, Grey has overseen the creation of the Bacardi global operations team and the transformation of its performance.
Grey said the Middle East and Africa region is distinct and necessitates an emerging market strategy of providing strong support to the existing team while introducing a more entrepreneurial-style approach into the region to take the core portfolio of brands to a new level.
