MIAMI RUM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES INTL TRADE EXPO

The 2015 Miami Rum Renaissance Festival, held April 17 to 19, 2015 at the DoubleTree Miami Airport Convention Center, announces the formation of the International Trade Exposition for Rum, a trade only industry exhibition that brings rum producers and spirits industry product manufacturers together with importers, distributors, retailers, buyers, brokers and spirits industry trade media.

Running concurrently with the Miami Rum Renaissance Festival, the International Trade Exposition for Rum offers a unique opportunity for professionals to sample, savor and evaluate wide-ranging brands alongside super premium rum expressions not showcased on the general festival floor.  Guests can engage with representatives of exhibiting brands who are eager to share their knowledge and discuss opportunities to secure and expand distribution of their brands.

“An important aspect of the International Trade Exposition for Rum’s mission is to bring our friends in the trade together to further the understanding and appreciation of rum,” said festival organizer and Robert Burr.

From the far reaches of the globe, rum producers will bring their finest products to meet with importers. Distributors will meet with retailers and beverage managers. Along with bottlers and label designers, corks and packaging specialists, many new products will be on display for all to see, sample and discover.

“From the great sipping rums to the essential ingredients for creating fine cocktails, it’s important for professionals to know their rums and discover new expressions that may bring value to their business,” said Robert Burr, festival organizer. “We’re investing in the trade by traveling to the furthest reaches of the globe to bring the largest selection of rums together in one room.”

“We’re seeing a great increase in select vintage rums from many countries, authentic editions from select distilleries by year, private label bottlings from dozens of small producers and limited edition collector’s series rums that are very difficult or impossible to find in North America. In the new age of rum discovery, we’re leading the way by bringing all the most important people in the rum industry together in Miami.”

Rum exhibitors come to the event from all over the Caribbean as well as North, Central and South America. Some bring their rum samples from as far away as India, from Fiji in the South Pacific, from Madagascar off the coast of Africa, from Mauritius in the Indian Ocean or from the Philippines in the South China Sea.
