Official Cocktail of the Golden Globes

This morning as Hollywood prepared for the Golden Globes, the menu that will be served to the stars was unveiled including the official cocktail of the Golden Globes, the Moët Ruby Red from Moët & Chandon — celebrating 25 years as the official champagne of the Golden Globes—created by lauded mixologist Karen Grill. No celebration is ever complete without champagne, and toasting with the cocktail which will be served to the stars is the perfect way for viewers to create glamour at home with Moët and join in on Hollywood’s biggest night.

One of Los Angeles’ most skilled and imaginative mixologists and the woman behind the recently revamped cocktail program at 1933 Group’s Sassafras in Hollywood, Grills’ Moët Ruby Red is modern take on a French 75 cocktail and a personal homage to classic Hollywood cinema that epitomizes Hollywood glamour. Luxurious, bright and topped with Moët & Chandon Brut, the signature libation reflects the energy and elegance of both the beloved champagne and the award show. Served in the Golden Globes lounge (an antechamber to the ballroom) on the big night, the Moët Ruby Red’s raspberry, citrus and tarragon shrub give both a tart kick and ruby red coloring. Like all Moët & Chandon champagnes, the Moët Ruby Red is best enjoyed in a white wine glass, which enhances the effervescence of the champagne and allows for its flavor profile and underlying tasting notes to open and develop.

This year, Moët & Chandon also debuted a custom Golden Globes Mini Moët Champagne Caddy equipped with the same minis that stars — including Chrissy Teigen, Naomi Watts, Amber Heard, Heidi Klum, Chris Pratt, and Aziz Ansari — have all infamously indulged in while gliding the carpet. However, at a very realistic price point of $145, your will be able to sip like the stars exclusively via ReserveBar.com.

Viewers at home can toast with the Moët Ruby Red, the Mini Moët Champagne Caddy or keep it classic with a bottle of Moët’s beloved “family of champagnes,” including Moët & Chandon Impérial, Moët & Chandon 2004 Grand Vintage Brut and Moët & Chandon Impérial Rose, to pair with fun and festive viewing party food!

Moët & Chandon will grace the star-studded red carpet and tables at the Golden Globes with its family of champagnes, serving 1,500 Moët Impérial minis on the red carpet; 125 cases of Moët & Chandon 2004 Grand Vintage Brut and Moët Impérial Rosé Magnums on the tables during the awards ceremony; and 500 Moët cocktails served at the bars. Moët & Chandon will also return to the red carpet with its popular philanthropic initiative, “Toast for a Cause.” Golden Globe nominees will be invited to raise a toast with Moët & Chandon Impérial minis in support of their favorite charities on the red carpet. For each toast raised, Moët & Chandon donates $1,000 to the chosen charity in the nominees’ names.
