Barley’s Angels is women educating women about craft beer, internationally. Currently boasting about 80 chapters in 7 countries in 2013 this organization offered 485 events with well over 14000 tickets were sold. Women want flavor, and are finding it in Craft Beer.

Barley’s Angels is conference in Portland Oregon September 13th. This conference is geared to both consumers and educators of craft beer. Featured are sessions with focus on organizing successful events, cooking with beer, promoting and press relations, tastings, the alchemy of glassware and beer and launch of a special partnership with a west coast brewer that will benefit breast cancer research. This is a gathering of women who share craft beer professionally or socially. We will explore each angle of beer, food, events and promotion, in practical and meaningful ways that will allow you to share still more of the versatile Craft Brew.

Meet chef and personality The Beeroness (aka Jackie Dodd) as she demonstrates cooking with craft beer. The Beeroness passion for cooking with craft beer has propelled her into the world of celebrity chefs and authors.

We’ll launch our national partnership with a West Coast brewery raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research – we’ll be sampling a very special limited edition beer with schwag and fanfare.  We can’t disclose more information than that just yet, but very soon.

Take the Palette Journey with Christine Jump where pairing is more than chocolate and beer. Experience the surprising way that flavors are affected by different beer styles – make your pairings even more powerful.

Glean insights into establishing lasting relationships with the press by understanding how they tick and what they need with publisher Gail Oberst’s guidance.

Glassware matters – really, experience the difference as Nick Mallory reveals the Alchemy of Glassware and the craft beer flavor experience.

Pam McGee, veteran festival and events producer for Rogue Ales gets up close and personal discussing the tricks to making beery events that inspire community,  are memorable and run smoothly.
