The first cross country songfest, Wine, Women & Song will unite singer/songwriter Rebecca Pidgeon and Women of the Vine as they launch a new CD, taste award winning wines sustainably produced by women winemakers, and raise funds for Farm Aid and America’s family farmers.

Inspired by the book Women of the Vine by Deborah Brenner, Live Nation Marketing icon Harvey Leeds introduced Pidgeon to Deborah of Women of the Vine and the idea of Wine, Women & Song came to be. The cross country tour combines the uplifting stories of America’s enterprising women, with songs from Rebecca’s new album, Slingshot, which will be released in October along with Women of the Vine wine tastings and food pairings, as well as meet the author/book and CD signings. The tour will run from summer to the fall, starting at the Hotel Cheval in Paso Robles, California on May 26, with stops in 13 states from California to Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.

Attendees will receive copies of the book as well as a special pre-release edition of the CD. Portions of proceeds will benefit Farm Aid. Fans can follow the campaign at www.rebeccarocksthevine.com to raise awareness about family farmers and the importance of creating a future of good and healthy food for America.
