Our efforts are being recognized and as a company we are going to continue to bring in new expressions as well as limited high end editions that are appreciated by the single malt cognoscenti.”

ā€œWe are thrilled with this new award,” he said.

The Dalmore 18 Year Old is blended in inimitable Dalmore style, combining primary aging in new American oak and finishing in sherry casks. The hue is reddish to deep brown with copper highlights. Nut aromas from the sherry butts give way to chocolate, oranges and dried flowers and spice aromas. The taste of The Dalmore 18 Year Old is delicate then orange and citrus notes move to the front of the palate along with chocolate, spiced cinnamon and clove flavors from the four years in Matusalem sherry butts. The medium long finish of this expression ends with a crescendo of dried fruit, spice and toffee flavors.

Only 200 cases of The Dalmore 18 Year Old are available in the U.S.

ā€œThis is an outstanding achievement. For those that know and love The Dalmore, this comes as no surprise. The combination of these accolades over the past year validates that this brand is truly rare and wonderful and the craftsmanship of our master blender Richard Paterson is second to none,” Gutierrez continued.

“The Isle of Jura is the second award winning single malt Whyte and Mackay is re-launching in the U.S. and we couldn’t be more pleased with this honor, ” said Jorge Gutierrez, Vice President of The Americas, Whyte and Mackay.

“Our customers know the brand and this validation from a panel of some of the best palates in the U.S., will certainly support the brand’s re-launch in the U.S. market,” he added.

Isle of Jura Single Malt is a Scotch whisky distilled on the Hebridean island of Jura near Islay. Unlike some of its heavier Islay neighbors, Isle of Jura has a range of malt whiskies that cater to multiple palates. Prophecy is profoundly peated while Superstition is subtly sweet yet smoky. On the other hand, the 10 Year Old and 16 Year Old are not peated at all ā€“ they are made in ā€˜the Highland styleā€™ resulting in a deliciously delicate yet robust 10 Year Old and a is sumptuous yet gently spiced 16 Year Old. In the U.S. Jura’s range of malts include a 10, 16, Prophecy and Superstition.

The brand is available through Shaw- Ross Importers.
