The German brewery Warsteiner, manufacturer of the international premium beer brand Warsteiner, announced today that Donald Lake has been appointed president of the Warsteiner Importer’s Agency, the brewery’s U.S.-based operations in Cincinnati.

As president, Lake will be responsible for managing business in the U.S., increasing revenue and continuing to expand the Warsteiner footprint in the American market.

Before Lake was appointed president, he was a beverage industry consultant at The Beverage Consulting Group and national director of sales at The Gambrinus Company, which imported the Modelo and Moosehead brands as well as Shiner, Bridgeport, and Trumer. While in this position, he directed U.S. sales of Corona to achieve the number one selling import beer, and propelled Shiner to the number one Texas craft beer.

“I’m honored to accept this position and am enthusiastic to be part of such a strong organization,” said Lake. “Warsteiner’s extensive history and solid product portfolio make it one of the most noteworthy international beer brands. I’m eager to build upon that success in the U.S.”
