According to Drinks Business Review, VuQo Holdings, a producer and marketer of wines and spirits, has launched its VuQo Premium Vodka, which is said to be the first and only vodka distilled from coconut nectar, in New York on September 10, 2011.
The Philippine-made vodka will be unveiled at PRESS Lounge. VuQo was also launched in CBS Studios in Los Angeles, California earlier this year.
VuQo CEO Rich Cabael said VuQo’s official New York launch is an important milestone for the company, and it looks forward to building its brand in the city.
VuQo is 40% alcohol by volume, and comes in 750 mL bottles. Currently, VuQo is distributed in the United States in California, Texas and Georgia, as well as Guam and the Philippines. VuQo Holdings owns the brand Haliya Light Fruit Wines, which are handcrafted in small batches using fruits that thrive in the Philippines.
