April 1 marked the release of Show Dog-Universal Music recording artist Josh Thompson’s new album Turn It Up, on TouchTunes. A Wisconsin native, young Thompson pursued a career in construction until he picked up guitar as a hobby and was quickly hooked. Thompson moved to Nashville in 2005 and landed a publishing deal within 8 months. Enjoying a strong start, his debut album, Way Out Here, reached the Top 10 and spawned the hit singles “Beer On The Table” and title track “Way Out Here.” His strength as a touring artist also earned Thompson the respect of country heavyweights like Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Justin Moore and Lynyrd Skynyrd, all of whom have taken Thompson with them on tour. Turn It Up was recorded at Nashville’s legendary studio Ben’s Place and features ten brand new tracks including the catchy lead single “Cold Beer With Your Name On It.” Fans can also visit http://ow.ly/vjlWY to check out an exclusive video of Josh Thompson performing “Wanted Me Gone,” a track off Turn It Up.
