The responsibilities for bar and restaurant owners are changing quickly in the face of new gun laws that allow concealed weapons on-premise in some states.

With a new perspective on the ways in which American bar and food venue owners and operators are now responsible for certain legal and cultural shifts in our society, a recent New York Times article is worth the read for those working on-premise in this changing world.

“It’s almost like restaurants have to have a political strategist on board now when they put together their marketing plan,” said Andrew Freeman, a San Francisco-based consultant to the restaurant and hotel industry, in the Times piece.
