On Monday, November 19 at 11:00pm ET, Travel Channel will premiere “World’s Best Bartender,” a reality bartending special featuring the best bar talent from all corners of the globe who go head-to-head at the Diageo World Class Final in Rio de Janeiro. Hosted by Don Wildman of the Travel Channel, the program will showcase 39 bartenders competing in three rounds of elimination, leading to a single winner who will be awarded the title of “World’s Best Bartender.”
Similar to a celebrity-cooking competition, judges and gurus watch, score and taste each of the competing cocktails. Diageo World Class enlisted some of the industry’s most prominent figures to judge the competitors, including Salvatore Calabrese, Dale DeGroff, Peter Dorelli, Gary Regan and Steve Olson. The program also features the World Class U.S. Winner, Ricky Gomez, who placed fifth overall.
