Thomas Hooker Launches Two Line Extensions to its Portfolio
Thomas Hooker Brewing Company is adding to new products to its premium craft beer portfolio.
The first new brew will be Imperial Porter, which draws its roots from the stronger Porters of 19th Century England. It’s roasty malt flavor and rich malt sweetness is smooth and drinkable, chocolate overtones balance perfectly with the hops to offer a beer that pairs well with rich desserts. Generously hopped with German and American hops Imperial Porter comes to life as it is allowed to warm to the ideal drinking temperature of 58-60 degrees. Imperial Porter will be available in 12 ounce bottles and 16 oz pours.
The brewery’s second new product is the Liberator Doppleback Lager, which blends huge amounts of imported Munich, Vienna, Moravian and various dark roasted malts to achieve a rich and creamy full-bodied flavor, with a touch of malty sweetnes. The doppelbock style of lager came into being in Bavaria during the Middle Ages, in what is today southern Germany. It was originally brewed by monks to provide a nutritious drink during the Lenten Fast when no solid food was allowed. This has earned doppelbock the nickname “liquid bread” because of its rich and filling quality. The Liberator Doppleback Lager will also be available in 12 oz bottles and 16 ounce pours.
