TEX RATED: GRAPEFRUIT FOR GROWN-UPS IS HERE

Paula’s Texas Grapefruit LaunchesIntroducing Paula’s Texas Grapefruit Liqueur, the newest member of the Paula’s Texas Spirits portfolio. Like Paula’s Texas Orange and Lemon Liqueurs, Paula’s Texas Grapefruit is crafted in Austin, Texas from fresh citrus that is selected and peeled by hand. Using only Ruby Red Grapefruit grown in the Rio Grande Valley, Paula’s Texas Grapefruit Liqueur boasts a bright, naturally sweet flavor that can only come from the state fruit of Texas. It mixes well with tequila, whiskey, gin, rum, sparkling wine, and iced tea.

Paula’s Texas Spirits was founded in 2005 by Paula Angerstein, making her the first woman and second person licensed to distill in Texas. Paula grew up on a farm in South Texas and spent time in Italy after college where she discovered Limoncello. Once back home in the Lone Star State, Paula began making Limoncello for family and friends and soon decided to make a business of it. Luckily for margarita enthusiasts, she first brought her orange liqueur to market. It was followed shortly by Paula’s Texas Lemon Liqueur. In addition to making the best margaritas, Paula’s Orange and Lemon are favorites of bartenders across the state for their versatility. The bar team at Geraldine’s in Austin just took the prize for the Official Drink of Austin 2016 with their tiki drink, Far from the Tree, which features Paula’s Orange.

Paula’s Texas Grapefruit Liqueur is 27% Alcohol by Volume, and is available in 750 mL bottles with an MSRP of $17.99. Paula’s Texas Grapefruit Liqueur is distributed by Republic National Distributing Company. It can be found in Texas at Twin Liquors and Goody Goody Liquors as well as many independent liquor stores. Bars and restaurants throughout the Lone Star State are also serving it up in cocktails. For those mixing at home, Paula recommends the Pauloma.
