SVEDKA Celebrates New Marketing Campaign in New York City

On Wednesday, March 11, SVEDKA Vodka hosted an event at the Crowne Plaza in New York City to celebrate the unveiling of its new marketing campaign and Times Square billboard. Specialty SVEDKA cocktails The Fembot_Fatale and The Hot_Bot were served up to a jovial and relaxed after-work crowd that enjoyed their drinks over a view of the bustling Times Square.svedka2.jpg

The event also celebrated SVEDKA’s new place as the third-most imported vodka, surpassing Ketel One and Stolichnaya. Doubling in case volume from 1 million to 2 million cases in less than two years, SVEDKA is currently up 50% in dollar sales and 51% in volume, compared to this same period last year.

According to a January 2009 Nielsen Report, SVEDKA’s dollar gains represented almost 30% of total Vodka increases, and close to 29% of the volume gains during the last 13 weeks, versus a year ago. Also, SVEDKA dollar gains represented almost 31.7% of total spirit increases, and close to 54.3% of the volume gains during the last 13 weeks, versus a year ago.
