Roscoe NY Beer Co. Lands First Distributor

The Roscoe NY Beer Co., creators of the Trout Town™ Hand Crafted beer brand, are eager to announce the expansion of their distribution efforts through a new partnership with Northern Eagle Beverages, Inc. of Oneonta. The agreement with the distributor will bring Trout Town™ craft beer brands a greater presence in Chenango, Otsego, and Delaware counties.

“We have primarily been handling our distribution efforts internally,” said Josh Hughes, Brewer and Director of Operations for The Roscoe NY Beer Co. “We’ve done a great job getting our brand out there, as well as our beer, but in order for us to keep growing and getting our beer where our fans are, we knew it was time to start working with a distribution company. Trout Town American Amber Ale has had such a huge response that we just can’t keep up with the demand.”

Lou Hager, Jr. founded northern Eagle Beverages in 1968 when he purchased a 47,000 square foot facility from La Monica Beverages. Today the company has 36 employees, including a 7-man sales team, with a temperature controlled warehouse that is home to a myriad of Anheuser-Busch products, as well as their NY-state focused craft beer portfolio. Due to their own growth over the years, Northern Eagle Beverages just broke ground on their new 82,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that they anticipate moving into in late 2015.

“Northern Eagle is excited about its partnership with Roscoe Beer Company.,” said Bryan Birdsall, Sales Manager of Northern Eagle Beverages. “Selling craft beer is about telling a story.  Roscoe’s story is a fun one to tell and they back it up with excellent liquid.”

Pouring onto the craft beer scene in April 2013, The Roscoe NY Beer Co. was created by folks that enjoy the great outdoors, embrace their community and value all the wonderful things their country has to offer.  Their flagship brew, Trout Town American Amber Ale, pours a light amber color, with a clean nose, balanced hops, and bready malt, and ends with a light citrus finish. As a nod to tradition, this style of beer was typically brewed around New York State during the early 1900s.

With an aggressive plan in place, the beer company’s Trout Town American Amber Ale distribution continues to grow, as does its craft beer offerings. New beers, sold by the growler, can be found in their tasting room at 145 Rockland Road in Roscoe, and on-tap at select local establishments.
