Remy Martin Launches First Clear Spirit

Remy Martin has launched Remy Martin V, their latest innovation and first clear spirit in two exclusive markets-San Francisco and Atlanta. With a clear spirit in their repertoire, Remy Martin is now able to compete in the nightlife space against the premium clear spirits that are already popular.

So why go clear? Remy Martin sought to create a product based on mixability and be more popular among the 21-29 demographic. The brand also sought the help of NYC mixologist Charles Hardwick to innovative cocktail recipes for V, such as The Belmondo, The Femme Fatale, The Victor, and The Verve.

Rather than aging in oak barrels, as is the final step in the Cognac-making process, V is filtered using a bespoke process that chills it to 10 degrees Celsius, giving it a transparent color and fresh, clean taste.

V plans to launch nationwide in April 2011, and currently retails for $40.00.
