Some of the more traditional bar and pub tournaments that we all know and love include pool, darts, Bingo and beer pong. But a new generation of on-premise gaming and contests is making its mark on the on-premise industry as a way to turn a normally slow night into a busy one. Get patrons into your bar with fun and exciting weekly or monthly tournaments that will turn into bar tabs and customer loyalty.

One of the most popular options out there is set up Guitar Hero tournaments where patrons can bring the skills they’ve developed at home to the bar and compete against one another for prizes and bragging rights. At the Village Pourhouse in New York City, every Tuesday night from 7 to 11 pm is “Almost Famous” night, as bar patrons make their way into the large bar to compete against each other in games of either Guitar Hero or Rock Band. Both allow customers to play along with popular rock songs using faux instruments.
