Illinois Wine Bar Knows What Women Want
The D.O.C. Wine Bar in Lombard, Illinois, knows the way to a woman’s heart. The upscale locale recently launched its “Manis and Martinis” monthly event, a girls-night-out-themed promotion that offers free manicures, massages and serves champagne and $6 martini specials in its private event space, The Tasting Room.
Ladies and their girlfriends can sit back, relax and enjoy the pamper-party while watching episodes of “Sex and the City,” “Lipstick Jungle,” and “Desperate Housewives” on 42-inch flat screen TVs.
“With the economy and stress going on, women need this now,” said manager Tony Burger to the Chicago Daily Herald. “It’s just a comfortable zone for a lot of girls to get together with their friends.”
At least one third of the Bar Business staff would agree that this is a fabulous idea.
