New spirits company Lotus Vodka recently announced it had secured a strategic investment from Mercurio Capital Partners, a New York and Milan-based equity firm. Lotus Vodka will use the new investment from Mercurio to accelerate its expansion across the United States and begin expanding overseas. 
In less than two years on the market, Lotus has expanded from its base in San Francisco to become available across California, Nevada, New Mexico Pennsylvania and Arizona, and is currently launching in New York. The brand counts more than 2,500 trendsetter restaurants, lounges and clubs among its on-premise accounts, and is available in numerous off-premise outlets as well.
Lotus Vodka has made vodka interesting again with a line of super-premium products that are infused with special ingredients like B vitamins, and guarana extract. Lotus CEO Rob Bailey says, “American consumers are getting tired of boring vodka brands that talk about distillation processes and ridiculous marketing gimmicks like diamond filtration. The reality is that discerning consumers want vodkas that do a little more for them, and we welcome Mercurio Capital into our shared vision for growth.”
Mercurio Capital Partners works closely with Italian family owned companies in the United States, including Molinari, one of the top spirits companies in Italy with lines such as Limoncello di Capri and Molinari Sambuca, and Monte delle Vigne, a fast growing wine company owned by the Pizzarotti family. Molinari and Monte delle Vigne will be working with Lotus Vodka to expand its sales operations outside of the US and in Italy. Molinari currently has sales operations in more than 70 countries.
Lotus Vodka parent company Delicious Brands will also be assisting Molinari and Monte delle Vigne with branding and marketing activities in the United States.
Lotus is thus far available in two formulations: White Lotus and Blue Lotus.
