Hiram Walker has announced the second chapter in “The Quest,” the brand’s year-long search for the country’s best cocktail creations. In this second chapter of The Quest, Hiram Walker invites consumers to develop and submit online original Hot Drinks using a wide selection of the brand’s liqueurs and schnapps for a chance to win one of the two top prizes—one $500 and one $250 gift card.
Launching on December 1, consumers will be invited to create innovative, winter-warming Hot Drinks recipes that feature at least one of the following all-natural ingredients: Hiram Walker Caramel Apple Liqueur, Hiram Walker Original Cinn Cinnamon Schnapps, Hiram Walker Peppermint Schnapps, Hiram Walker Buttersctoch Schnapps, Hiram Walker Coffee Brandy, Hiram Walker Blackberry Brandy. A panel of independent judges will select two winners, a first and second place cocktail recipe, from all valid entries in accordance with the criteria set forth by the judges.
“Many of our consumers enjoy our brands during the October through December period and, as such, Hot Drinks was a natural fit for this second stop along The Quest,” said Juli Falkoff, Brand Director for Hiram Walker, Pernod Ricard USA. “Consumers enjoy pairing our flavorful spirits, such as Peppermint Schnapps, Blackberry Brandy and the new Caramel Apple Liqueur, this time of the year with hot beverages like tea, coffee, hot chocolate and mulled apple cider.”
The Hot Drinks contest follows right on the coattails of The Quest’s first challenge—Fall Drinks, of which one consumer will be awarded an Apple iPad prior to the Hot Drinks contest debut on December 1. “Out first contest along The Quest has been very well received by consumers and there has been a tremendous amount of interaction on our Facebook fan page as a result,” added Falkoff. “We hope to inspire even more consumers to participate during this Hot Drinks contest as we will be offering not one, but two, top prizes in the form of gift cards in the busy holiday period.”
