World’s Most-Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky Scoops Seven Gold Medals at International Wine & Spirit Competition 2013
Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been awarded a total of seven gold and seven silver medals in the 2013 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
One of Glenfiddich’s oldest whiskies, Glenfiddich 40 Year Old, also received the coveted Trophy for Single Malt Cask Strength Whisky.
The new accolades further cement Glenfiddich’s status as the World’s Most Awarded single malt Scotch whisky.
The IWSC is regarded as one of the world’s premier spirits competitions and awards are given following a blind taste assessment by a panel of specialist judges. Glenfiddich 40 Year Old picked up the highly coveted Gold Outstanding medal alongside the Cask Strength Trophy for its exceptional and complex taste profile that includes notes of peat, chocolate and vanilla. Six other Glenfiddich single malts also received gold medals: The Glenfiddich 12 Year Old, 14 Year Old Rich Oak, 15 Year Old, 21 Year Old, 30 Year Old and the Glenfiddich Malt Master’s Edition.
