During the 2009 Washington Redskins season, Diageo announced it would make a one hundred dollar donation to the Washington Regional Alcohol Program to support their SoberRide initiative that puts free taxis on the street during heavy consumption periods, for every tackle recorded by a Redskins safety.

The efforts of the 2009 Redskins safeties did not go unnoticed. This past Sunday during the Redskins game, Diageo announced their donation in the amount of $24,400 to the Washington Regional Alcohol Program for their hard work in helping to prevent drunk driving.
