The Wemyss family has announced the launch of small batch premium gin, Darnley’s View, in New York and New Jersey through a new distribution contract with Domain Select merchants, the wholesale division of Domaine Select Wine Estates (DSWE). Darnley’s View joins Classic & Vintage Artisanal Spirits, a division of DSWE devoted to craft spirits uniquely expressing diversity, character, and tradition.
Darnley’s View started its launch program in the United States with a stand at the New York Indy Spirits Expo as part of the Manhattan Cocktail Classic.
Darnley’s View gin celebrates the meeting of Mary Queen of Scots and her husband Lord Darnley at the family seat of Wemyss Castle in 1565. The London Dry gin has six key botanicals, including elderflower and citrus, and is distilled five times for purity. Darnley’s View has won international recognition by winning the Master Award in the prestigious Travel Retail Masters 2010 series, conducted by Spirit Business’s expert judging panel.
