In what has become an annual tradition, representatives from Crown Imports and Constellation Brands gathered at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) to ring the Closing Bell in advance of the Cinco de Mayo holiday to kick off the start of the summer beer selling season.
Constellation and Crown executives and representatives gathered on the podium to preside over the ceremonial close of the day’s activities on the trading floor. The group was joined by a mariachi band who entertained the traders during the bell ringing and at a post-ringing reception.

This year’s ceremony was even more special as both companies also celebrated the Department of Justice’s approval of the deal that will allow Constellation to purchase the remaining 50% interest in Crown Imports it doesn’t currently own from AB InBev. Upon the close of the deal, Crown will become the leading beer importer in the U.S. and a 100 percent owned division of Constellation Brands.
