Corona Extra has announced the release of limited edition Mexican Soccer League 18-packs in select markets across the United States. As part of Corona’s fall Hispanic promotion and long-standing connection with soccer, the collectible bottles showcase the logos and colors of six MSL teams sponsored by the brand.

“Corona Extra works hard to maintain strong ties with Hispanic soccer fans in the U.S. through unique offerings for our customers,” said Jim Sabia, Crown Imports LLC’s chief marketing officer. “The integrated promotion leverages Grupo Modelo’s sponsorship of popular Mexican Soccer League teams to provide an exclusive offer to fans, featuring limited edition Corona Extra packaging.”

Beginning August 22nd and running through October 16th, consumers can find these 18-packs, which contain six 12 oz. limited edition team-branded bottles of Corona Extra, both and off premise. In addition, consumers can scan QR codes on point-of-sale for instant access to soccer club content and Corona branded soccer gear.

Teams represented on the special edition packaging include:

• Club de Fútbol América (Mexico City)

• Club Santos Laguna (Torreón, Coahuila)

• Club Deportivo Atlas (Guadalajara)

• Club de Fútbol Puebla (Puebla)

• Deportivo Toluca Fútbol Club (Toluca)

• Club Necaxa (Aguascalientes)

The limited edition 18-packs will be available in select markets across the U.S. including Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
