CJ Crunk, the premium, flavored malt beverage has wowed taste testers with its superior flavor over industry competitor Four Loko. Since its return to the market, CJ Crunk has been sampled in a variety of taste test formats by reviewers around the country, putting the three flavors of CJ Crunk against the infamous Four Loko.
CJ Crunk has shared its message of premium taste with consumers as well, offering fans of the brand a CJ Crunk Taste Challenge, which can be found on the brand’s Facebook page. The Facebook page encourages fans to “Taste the CJ Difference” and share their own taste test results in the comments section.
A sampling of online drinks reviewers received products from both brands, courtesy of CJ Crunk, and took the CJ Taste Challenge for themselves, all offering reviews of the CJ Crunk flavors compared to Four Loko.
Over at Serious Eats, author Will Gordon gives CJ Crunk Fruit Punch his top honors in taste. The digital team behind “A History in Drinking” conducted a blind taste test challenge and voted CJ Crunk Grape flavor their overall Best in Show. A columnist at Bar None Drinks conducted a malt beverage taste test with CJ Crunk in the mix. The favorite offering was CJ Crunk Watermelon, said to be a flavorful companion “to an outdoor summer cookout or sports tailgate.”
CJ Crunk is now available in three flavors—Watermelon, Fruit Punch, and Grape—at retailers nationwide in 23.5 oz cans.
