Blue Owl Cocktail Room Celebrates Launch of Spring 2009 Cocktail Menu

blueowl6.jpgOn Monday, April 6, the Blue Owl Cocktail Room, New York, NY, hosted a party to celebrate the launch of its Spring 2009 Specialty Cocktail menu created by mixologist Charles Hardwick. The seasonal additions to its already fun and sophisticated cocktail menu, along with tasty appetizers and great music, made for an evening of relaxed entertainment for friends of the Blue Owl.

Located in Manhattan’s Lower East Side neighborhood, the Blue Owl boasts a chic and sexy interior downstairs from street level that doesn’t sacrifice comfort for the sake of a trendy interior (pictured, below). On the contrary, its plush, low-lit, open layout offers comfortable bench seating for those who wished to sit and nosh on small platesblueowl5.jpg from a Mediterranean-styled food menu, as well as plenty of space for those wanting to stand and chat at the bar, or mingle with various guests.

Hardwick’s Spring 2009 cocktail menu was well received by attendees of the event. Among the innovative options guests chose from were the Madero, a refreshing blend that includes tequila, cointreau, cilantro and lime juice, as well as the flirty Barrelhouse Fizz, a combination of raspberries, gin, velvet falernum and soda (pictured, above, left).

The Blue Owl features nightly DJs, private parties (in an exclusive back room), and an overall good crowd with which to spend daily happy hours or special weekely events.
