Australian Wine at the Williamsburg Waterfront

Wine Australia has teamed up with the Open Space Alliance of North Brooklyn (OSA) for the Williamsburg Waterfront concert series taking place from June to September. This year will mark the third year that Wine Australia has been the sole wine sponsor for these sold-out summer events.

Last summer, the Williamsburg Waterfront account was the biggest Australian wine account for New York City, with all of the profits from wine sales going directly to OSA’s park developments and greening of the urban landscape in Brooklyn.

The wines are selected to showcase the quality, diversity and value of Australia’s wine selection to the crowds attending the shows. This year, Wine Australia has been working with Brooklyn retailers to stock a selection of the wines, and Wine Australia will be using Foursquare for an innovative social media campaign.

When a consumer goes into one of the participating stores and “checks-in” and then buys a bottle of one of the participating wines, they’re awarded a Wine Australia gift-pack. This means the consumer is not only getting a quality bottle of wine, they’re also getting a galss to drink it out of and a corkscrew to ensure further drinking pleasure.
