In honor of the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, Compass Box Whisky Co. in collaboration with the Astor Center and LUPEC (Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails), will be holding the 2nd annual “Whisky and NYC Women Unite” event. The event will benefit Bottomless Closet, a non-profit organization that helps disadvantaged NYC women become self-sufficient through comprehensive educational and training programs.
Local female artisans, master mixologists, and a chocolatier and cheesemonger, will be in attendance to celebrate International Women’s Day which is celebrated on March 8th. Tippling, toasting, and chocolate and cheese pairings will be part of the festivities.
Tickets are available for $85 a person at www.astorcenternyc.com/class-whisky-women-unite.ac. 30 percent of all ticket sales will be donated to Bottomless Closet NYC. Each ticket includes eight original Compass Box Scotch whisky cocktails, four of which are named in honor of iconic NYC women. Two cocktails will be matched with Bespoke Chocolates, and two with artisanal cheeses.
