According to Luxist.com, a pair of sisters in Arizona have created a new vodka brand called Arroyo Vodka as a part of their brand Forward Brands LLC. Lauren Klemp and her sister Morgan decided there was room for a new vodka brand, and have future plans for other flavors and a tasting room in Glendale.
Arizona has very few microdistilleries including Arizona High Spirits Distillery, which produces a unique prickly pear vodka.
The first brand from Forward Brands is named for the street the sister grew up on. There are currently 886 bottles that have been launched, selling at under $20. The vodka is corn based and distilled only once.
