Created by acclaimed chefs David Szalm and Jake Johnson, Virgil Kaine was born from a passion for culinary excellence and inspired by Southern legend Virgil Kaine – a Civil War-era icon who worked the rails as train conductor by day and, by night, is said to have acted as a bootlegger across the South.

Virgil Kaine Ginger Infused Bourbon, handcrafted and bottled in South Carolina begins with a young, flavorful bourbon. A mash 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malt – is then used to macerate “Yellow Hawaiian” ginger with other premium, all-natural ingredients. The ginger is sourced locally from Spade & Clover Gardens on John’s Island. It is pickled young to preserve its essential oils and lock in freshness.

Virgil Kaine is available at many fine South Carolina and Georgia retailers. For more information regarding retail locations, upcoming events, cocktail recipes and more, please visit VirgilKaine.com, or connect with us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
