Suerte (Spanish meaning “luck”) Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo tequilas begin in the highlands of rural Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. After harvesting, Master Distiller Pedro Hernandez Barba uses a traditional, hand-carved stone wheel, called a tahona, to crush 100% pure Blue Weber Agave. Suerte Tequilas are 100% tahona processed. Barba is one of a handful of Mexican distillers who insist on using the tahona, which lends a unique flavor to the resulting product that cannot be achieved by using more modern methods such as a steel shredder. The piñas of the agave are slow-cooked in a brick oven, then crushed using the tahona, and finally the juice is gradually fermented, and distilled.

Barba, who returned to his family’s agave fields and built his distillery after years as a practicing attorney in Guadalajara, caught the attention of American Laurence Spiewak and Lance Sokol, originally from Mexico City, whose paths crossed while working in the organic products industry. The three men found common ground in their love for tequila at similar stages of their lives, each seeking exit from the work-a-day routine of their former careers.

Suerte Blanco is handcrafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave and rested for a minimum of two months in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling. An incredibly smooth finish and pleasant herbal, citrus, and sweet notes make it perfect for sipping straight, on the rocks, or enjoying in a refreshing cocktail. 750ml, 40% Alc. by Volume (80 proof) SRP: $32.99 US

Suerte Reposado rests in white oak American whiskey barrels for seven months. This magnificent spirit highlights the master distiller’s craft by exhibiting a perfect balance of resting time, oak, and pure Agave. With a robust bouquet of aromas, subtle plum, butterscotch, and oak notes, Suerte Reposado is nothing short of liquid bliss. Enjoy it neat, on the rocks, or in an authentic margarita. 750ml, 40% Alc. by Volume (80 proof) SRP: $36.99 US

Suerte Añejo rests in white oak American whiskey barrels for twenty-four months, twice as long as the industry standard.  A complex and full-bodied flavor is sure to please all palates.  A moderate oak presence, with hints of berry, chocolate, and mint complement the underlying essence of the Agave. We recommend you serve Suerte Añejo in a wine glass and enjoy in the company of good friends. 750ml, 40% Alc. by Volume (80 proof) SRP: $60.00 US
