Featuring the best local craft beers and widest selection of brews from around the globe, World of Beer Franchising, Inc. (WOB) and owners Bob and Marc Dorfman open the franchise’s 62nd tavern on Monday, Sept. 22 at The Flats at 852 W. Main St., Charlottesville, VA. This is the first tavern for Bob and Marc Dorfman and the third in Virginia.
The 3,800-square-foot WOB tavern with an additional 1,800-square-foot patio boasts the world’s most extensive collection of craft beers bottled and on tap – over 500 bottles and 57 rotating taps – inviting guests into a journey to discover the best in local and international beers. WOB-Charlottesville will serve lunch and dinner daily and host live music performances Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights each weekend. This location is proud to partner with many local breweries, including Three Notch’d Brewing Co. (Charlottesville), Champion Brewing Co. (Charlottesville), Devil’s Backbone Brewing Co. (Roseville), Blue Mountain Brewery (Afton), Starr Hill Brewery (Crozet), Wild Wolf Brewing Co. (Nellysford), Hardywood Park Craft Brewery (Richmond), and Legend Brewing Co. (Richmond), among others.
Celebrating the popularity of craft beer and its culture, WOB rotates taps daily so guests will discover something new and unique on every visit. Signature craft spirit cocktails, ciders and wine along with non-alcoholic beverages are also available. WOB pairs its craft brews with the franchise’s signature “Tavern Fare” menu featuring a variety of comfort foods and traditional bar offerings with a contemporary spin, such as Giant Bavarian Pretzels, a Guinness “Brat” Slider, a Chimay Burger, Craft Bourbon Chicken, Citrus Ginger Barbeque Shrimp and desserts with beer-infused toppings.

Brewing Variety One Beer at a Time

Specially trained staff has completed an extensive, two-week beer school and is on-hand to guide guests through the WOB experience centered around a global menu of beverages, live music and televised sports.
A Loyalty Club helps guests discover new beer styles, flavors and brands while rewarding them with points to earn gift cards, t-shirts, complimentary parties and other pub perks. Putting the WOB culture in guests’ hands, the loyalty program is easily accessed and available through the WOB app, available on iPhone and Android smartphones.
Happy Hour at WOB-Charlottesville is hosted Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. Loyalty Nights, Trivia Nights and other beer-centric events will highlight weekday entertainment, while outstanding live entertainment will fill the air Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
