UV VODKA SALUTES MILITARY HEROES

Phillips Distilling Company has announced the renewal of UV Vodka’s “Salute to Heroes” campaign, a program designed to support veterans and their spouses across the United States in their search for meaningful employment. Building on the successful 2015 program, the campaign will continue through August, driving awareness for this important cause and also donating money to Hiring Our Heroes, a nationwide program from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which helps U.S. veterans and military spouses find employment.

Phillips Distilling has a rich history of hiring and supporting veterans, from the creator of UV Vodka—which is 100 percent produced and bottled in the U.S.—to countless positions within the organization. As part of the partnership, Phillips Distilling Company is sponsoring a series of Hiring Our Heroes job fairs in Houston, Detroit, St. Paul and California this year, with funds donated by Phillips Distilling Company through the “Salute to Heroes” campaign directly supporting these job fairs—and our veterans and their families—across the country.

To date, these job fairs have had a significant impact on helping veterans: more than 28,000 veterans and military spouses have obtained jobs with companies of all sizes through Hiring Our Heroes events. Regional Phillips Distilling Company distributor partners will also be on site and participating at several of the Hiring Our Heroes job fair events through the year.

Mike Duggan, CEO said, “Supporting and hiring veterans is an important focus for us at Phillips Distilling Company. We are incredibly proud to partner with Hiring Our Heroes and kick off the second year of what we look forward to as a long-term partnership with Hiring Our Heroes. We invite and encourage consumers, our distributor partners and our customers to recognize the honorable contributions made by our nation’s service members and their spouses and join in efforts to help support vets in finding jobs.”

To support the program in stores, “Salute to Heroes” will be showcased through dedicated UV Vodka POS and in-store demo events in select markets that will drive engagement and awareness among consumers. Participating bars and restaurants will show their support with dedicated signage and promotional materials encouraging consumers to share their salute online.

Enhanced with a strong online and social media marketing strategy, the “Salute to Heroes” campaign garnered more than 1,400 social media posts in its inaugural year, using #SalutetoHeroes and resulting in over 3.2 million impressions. In conjunction with this campaign, Phillips Distilling donated $50,000 to Hiring Our Heroes in 2015; the brand is committed to doubling those funds in 2016, with a donation of $100,000 and looks forward to continuing the partnership in upcoming years. UV Vodka is asking consumers upload a photo “Saluting to Heroes” to social media using the campaign hashtag #SalutetoHeroes. UV Vodka is asking Americans to tag friends encouraging them to share as well to help drive awareness of the program.
