Ultimate Cocktail for a Cure 2009
UPDATE: DEADLINE EXTENSION! The entry period for the competition has been extended! The new date is September 30th for you to enter your cocktail recipe.
Due to the date change (now October 26th) for the Final Round of Competition, we were able to extend the entry period for the cocktails.
What this means for you, is that you get another 30 days to get your entries in! Entries are being accepted in both the Amateur and Professional categories. You must include SENCE Rose Nectar and at least one of our list of sponsors ingredients.

Ultimate Bar Chef has teamed up once again with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to host the Ultimate Cocktail for a Cure 2009 contest, where leaders in the spirits and beverage industry come together to raise money and promote awareness of breast cancer and how it affects millions of women in the U.S. everyday. Spirit sponsors of the competition include SENCE Rose Nectar, Hendrick’s Gin, Grand Marnier, Absolut 100, Milagro Tequila, Sagatiba Cachaca, and Sonoma Syrup Co. This year’s competition will be split up into three divisions: Amateur, Professional, and Ultimate Bar Chef. 
The Amateur division is open to anyone who wishes to participate who is not, nor has any immediate family member(s) involved in the bevarage industry in any way. Involvement includes employment with or ownership in a beverage manufacturer, distributor, bar or restuarant, beverage public relations and/or advertising company. The Professional division is open to anyone currently working in the beverage industry in any capacity.
Cocktail recipe entries are due Aug. 31 (UPDATE – SEE ABOVE!), and can be submitted on the competition’s website, which also includes complete contest information, personal stories from competitors, friends and sponsors as well as linking to all of our sponsors web pages.
The Finals are going to be held in Las Vegas on October 26th at Springs Preserve.
Judges for Rounds One and Two include industry forerunners Tony Abou-Ganim, Tobin Ellis and Steve Olson, while the Finals will be judged by Gary Regan, Natalie Bovis-Nelsen, Tony Abou-Ganim, Steve Olson , and radio show host Steph MacKenzie, and a surprise guest or two…
Susan G. Komen for the Cure—along with those who generously support us with their talent, time and resources—is working to better the lives of those facing breast cancer in our community. We join more than 100,000 breast cancer survivors and activists around the globe as part of the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer. Through events like the Komen Race for the Cure®, we invest in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds goes to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Award and Research Grant Programs supporting research, awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.
