May 13, 2014 marks the release of American country music leading lady Dolly Parton’s new album, Blue Smoke, on TouchTunes. One of the most beloved and esteemed female country performers of all time, Dolly Parton’s distinguished career has spanned almost five decades, with staggering sales of more than 100 million records worldwide, 41 Top 10 country albums and 25 singles that have topped Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, plus 7 Grammy awards, 5 ACM awards and 10 CMA awards and a place in the Country Music Hall of Fame. In addition to her own hits, Parton’s prolific songwriting career has spawned numerous international hits including her most successful, “I Will Always Love You.”
The living legend’s 42nd album, Blue Smoke is Parton’s first new release since 2011. The 12-track album is named Blue Smoke “because it has a lot of bluegrass flavors,” says Parton, and includes collaborations with Kenny Rogers and Willie Nelson. On the heels of Blue Smoke’s release, Dolly will hit the road, embarking on her ‘Blue Smoke World Tour,’ which will include shows across the United States and Europe. In addition, TouchTunes will also make available 25 of Parton’s top hits including “I Will Always Love You,” “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” “Coat of Many Colors” and more.
