The Freedom Bottle

The Indianapolis 500 will set the stage to launch RumChata’s Freedom Bottle program to support the Lone Survivor Foundation. The not-for-profit organization restores, empowers, and renews hope for wounded service members and their families through health, wellness, and therapeutic support.

RumChata has produced a limited-time collection of red, white and blue logoed bottles for its award-winning spirit to be sold between Memorial Day and the Fourth of July. The RumChata Foundation will be donating a portion of the proceeds from each bottle to the Lone Survivor Foundation.

“We are proud to be able to support the Lone Survivor Foundation and their incredibly important work for wounded military members through RumChata’s Freedom Bottle program,” said Tom Maas, RumChata founder and master blender. “We are thrilled to have Andretti Autosport’s help generating awareness for this important program during the Indianapolis 500.”

On race day, the James Hinchcliffe #27 Indy car will feature RumChata’s commemorative Freedom Bottle red, white, and blue logo while the Marco Andretti #25 Indy car will display the RumChata logo. As a bonus, if the drivers finish the race in one of the top three positions, RumChata will donate an additional $25K per driver to its Lone Survivor Foundation donation. RumChata race fans will also have a chance to join in the donation drive by tweeting during the race with the hashtag #RumChata500. RumChata will donate an additional 500 cents ($5) to the Lone Survivor Foundation for every tweet up to $25,000.

“The Indianapolis 500 has always been a Memorial Day tradition that commemorates those who have fought and are fighting for our country’s freedom,” said third-generation American racer Marco Andretti. “It is quite an honor to be partnered with RumChata to support Lone Survivor. We always give our all on track for our fans, but it’s nice to know we’re racing for a great cause now as well.”
