The Dalmore Aurora Makes Its Holiday Debut

According to The Luxist, The Dalmore Aurora, a 45-year-old whisky that has been making its way around the world to better whisky purveyors, is available as a holiday gift, for those with the money to spend on it. The whisky is named after the Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights.

The collectible is priced at $5,537. The Dalmore Aurora has been aging for 46 years and was selected for this special bottling. There are only 200 decanters available at 45% alcohol by volume.

The taste notes include honeyed pear, banana and passion fruit. There are also notes of blood oranges, figs, marmalade and coffee.
